We’ve all been there before. You’re shopping online or wandering aimlessly through aisles and you find yourself completely at a loss. Family and friends can be picky, but let’s be real, you don’t want to be the person who just throws gift cards at everyone during the holidays. With some insight from our product experts, you’re sure to find a spark of inspiration for everyone on your gift list this year.
At Reviewed we’re looking at products year round, no matter if a holiday is coming up on the calendar. So when our editors were asked what they’re hoping to receive and what they’re planning on giving this holiday season, they didn’t hesitate to share.
1. For the home chef: Staub Dutch Oven
A dutch oven is truly one of the most versatile items to have in your kitchen. From soups to bread to sautéing vegetables, it can pretty much do it all. Our photographer, Betsey Goldwasser, has had her eye on one for quite some time: “They’re truly the most beautiful and diverse objects in your kitchen.” No matter who is on your list this year or what kind of cooking abilities they have, this is the perfect way to enhance their kitchen. This is especially true for someone who tends to cook a lot of food at once.
If you’re put off by the price tag on the Staub, we recommend the Lodge 4.5-Quart Round Dutch Oven, our top budget pick.

For most people out there, having a source of caffeine is vital to starting the day off on the right foot. Why venture out to buy coffee every morning when you can get a fresh brew right from your kitchen counter? Graphic designer Naidin Concul-Ticas can’t get enough of her Keurig coffee maker and plans on handing them out like candy this holiday season.
“Most of my family are coffee drinkers and always highly caffeinated so I’m excited to get them on the Keurig bandwagon,” she says. Easy to use, fast and also featuring an iced coffee option, this Keurig will help anyone get through the day with a little extra pep in their step.

I know what you’re thinking. This sounds like a pretty crappy gift. However, writer Shayna Murphy begs to differ. “Since working at Reviewed, I know that the Squatty Potty actually works, since we tested it. Plus, I’m a big fan of giving gifts that people will actually like and utilize, so it seems absolutely perfect for the holidays,” Murphy says. While it may not be the most glamorous gift of all time, it’s certainly useful. It might just be the number 1 way to go number 2.

Editor Meghan Kavanaugh received this as a gift last Christmas and it has been her favorite gift to date: “It’s the perfect gift for anyone who wants an easier wake up in the morning, which is probably everyone on your list.” With a simulated sun rise and the sound of birds chirping, it helps sleepers wake up gradually, far less abrupt than the alarm folks usually set on their phones.

After food, water, and a sturdy leash, the K9 Sport Sack is a must have for editor Amy Roberts and her pup, Gus. After trying multiple carriers for her 18-pound companion, Roberts knew the Sport Sack was the only thing that would work.
“Honestly, I recommend it to every city dog owner I meet (and we meet a lot of them!), as well as folks who like to hike with dogs that may not be able or willing to keep up all day long,” she says. The medium Sport Sack can hold dogs up to 30 pounds, ideal for making sure furry friends can take part in the action, no matter where their owner is headed.

We’ve all been there before, going about the day and suddenly, a torrential rainstorm comes out of nowhere. While constantly carrying around an umbrella is out of the question, and covering your head with a trash bag is not an ideal look, the Parka in a Pocket is the next best thing.
“There have been several times I’ve left the office to a torrential downpour and been jacket-less, hoodless, and umbrella-less,” says video producer Melissa Rorech. “But then I remember my Parka in a Pocket buried at the bottom of my bag. I whip it out, throw it on, and safely make it home, cozy and dry!” With a variety of sizes and colors, this jacket is ideal for pretty much anyone on your list, especially those who might not always have their eye on the weather forecast.
